Michelle Branch - "Are You Happy Now?" Official Music Video
Are You Happy?
There are songs depicting the word " Happiness" or it's root word " Happy". When I was young, I used to hear the song Happy by Michael Jackson. But I was wondering why the tune is not that gay. It's a ballad for me, It's the song that made me cry. I don't know. Maybe, the music affected me when I was just an elementary student.
I always expect happiness when I celebrated my birthday every year. It doesn't make me sad. I encourage myself to be hearing Happy Birthday along with my family and friends. The meaning of long life, good health and God's blessing makes me an optimistic person. Wishing for good luck throughout the year is everyone's dream whenever the celebration of life takes place.
From the local band during high school, my friends and I used to sang this song, Are You Happy? by Introvoys. Accomplishing things should make us happy, according to the song.
Well, as I mature, Are You Happy Now? by Michelle Branch is the song I used to hum. There's always a question of being happy after all those years of achieving something whether made it big in the business and other areas of specialization.
I used to ask myself...am I happy? Is my existence useful in this world? If you share the same sentiment by sings it in a different tune, let me hear you voice in my hub.
Finding happiness is limitless. With bits and scraps of bread crumbs or even tiny pieces of broken glasses, we can still make this world a happy place to live in.

Finding Happiness in Love
I'm a craver for happy ending. Watching movies depicting love stories usually end with protagonists being happy. It also happens in real world.
From courtship, engagement and marriage, a couple who are in love are literally blinded by overwhelming happiness their hearts are feeling. The pureness of such act goes to show that true happiness can never be equalled by the magnitude of material things like money.
There's a satisfaction being felt whenever you're in love. I used to feel it, too. Love trancends all tangible things and you can never stop you're heart from falling in love. As if, there's a gravitational pull with a feeling of descending but being contented of what is happening. It escalates your perceptions in life.
Great plays portrayed love in tragedy. Families who are bitter enemies will outgrow its hatred by falling in love. Or just like Romeo and Juliet (by the greatest English playwright William Shakespeare), even though their clans are rivals, they still fell in love amid the tragic circumstances.
Love begets love. You can even sacrifice your life when you're in love...with opposite sex, same sex orientation, friends, family and country.
Love is the main theme in finding happiness at some unexpected places.

Finding Happiness in Success
You're happy if you achieved something. I find happiness when I got my first job. I attained success on it. Still I looked for a greener pasture and felt satisfied with the results.
Looking for a job that I like, with matching stable salary was enough for me. I slowly climbed the ladder and had been appointed as one of the top movers of the company.
But due to bankruptcy, the company's status flunked and I decided to reinvent myself and started working overseas. I worked hard and solely rely on my judgment because the competition was stiff. I never cling to padrino system (sponsorship). My superiors believed that relying on my own judgment in attaining success is my best asset. That I conceded.
I was happy. Success can mean money and additional prestige. I was able to buy some luxuries in life, but not all.
Success for others can slave the whole world, but not for me. Achieving success in little things, but never hurting anyone, is enough for me.
I worked for it in an honest way and I'm happy with the result. My willpower and common sense function as one.

Finding Happiness in Giving
Sharing what you have, helping others to achieve something fruitful...these are some of the things can outdo other achievements. Spreading the sunshine, as old jargon promotes; giving makes you satisfied and happy as well.
The greatest example that I can share is the works of Mother Teresa. Her works in India's poorest is truly exemplary. With all the accolades given to her, she simply said (while she were still living) that she finds happiness whenever she sees smiling faces amid the hardships of life.
I read the story of a man giving away his millions. but finds happiness while giving it away. He's none other than, Dr. Karl Rabeder, a homewares magnate of Austria. He recently made headlines around the world when he announced that he would sell everything he owned to help the poor in Central and Latin America.
I felt humbled by his act. I'm doing it, too, in every little things I can.
We can alleviate hunger around the world, but we can never stop everyone from finding happiness.
I know my hub can never equal other's almost perfect article. But finding happiness while doing it is my edge from them. I never felt envy....only happiness.
Thanks be to God, for I am sharing what's to live worthwhile on this planet.
I can also say, I am Earth man...and I am HAPPY!!!
P.S. I'm wearing a smile on my face while doing this. (and I'm laughing out loud---LOL!!!)
Share it with others who want to be happy, too!

The barometer of happiness varies in every individual. Some can be happy with just a gestures, like, hugs and kisses. Others are indifferent to the word happiness. Maybe, it's because of their personal upbringing. The level of happiness differs due to the surroundings that a person has familiarized since birth. Defining it will also different when you're rich or poor. (You can read a book regarding Happiness when you buy it at Amazon.)

Great Hub. I am happy when I meet happy people as you. I think that happiness is contagious, it is a mental attitude supported by facts and things, the same facts and things that have their roots in a happy mental attitude. Happiness generates happiness.
